The package includes 2 books containing personal notes, lyrics, new collage artwork, plus a Decoupage kit for creating your own scenes from the MELLON COLLIE universe. The bonus content and special features were curated from the band's archives by CORGAN, and have been painstakingly remastered for the first time from the original master tapes by Bob Ludwig.
Originally released October 24, 1995, MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS would debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified 9x platinum by the RIAA. It yielded major hits like "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" the band's unlikely first Top 40 hit the exquisite "1979" and epic "Tonight, Tonight" as well as a thoroughly inspired series of videos. Produced by BILLY CORGAN, Flood and Alan Moulder, the album would also earn a Grammy Award (1996 Best Hard Rock Performance for "Bullet With Butterfly Wings") as well as seven nominations. Beyond the more obvious hits, though, MELLON COLLIE is a song cycle of unusual depth and considerable range. It is a collection of stunningly beautiful moments when everything lined up--a moment in time that's still here to be treasured.

(7)Following her acclaimed 2010 album, Love and Its Opposite Tracey Thorn presents a Christmas album, Tinsel and Lights, featuring ten seasonal cover versions, two new original tracks, and "Green" from Scritti Politti.
Produced by Ewan Pearson, Tinsel and Lights features Tracey s famously rich vocals and contributions on guitar and piano. Her longtime partner, Ben Watt guests on guitar and piano on several tracks. Leo Taylor (Adele, Hot Chip) plays drums, Steve Pearce - who played on Everything But The Girl's feted album, Idlewild - is on bass, while Pearson adds signature synths and electronics. Three tracks include orchestral arrangements by Nick Ingman.
Tracey says, "I ve always wanted to make a Christmas record. Every year, when the Christmas albums start appearing in November, I get jealous and wish I had one coming out. Last year, I made a resolution to get recording in January to be ready for the following Christmas. And so that s just what I did. They re not all strictly Christmas songs, but if they mentioned winter or snow or even just being cold, that was good enough for me."
Tinsel and Lights is available on CD, LP and digital through Merge Records in North America and Strange Feeling in the UK/EU. The LP version will include Tracey's rendition of "25th December," originally written and sung by Ben Watt on Everything But The Girl's 1994 album Amplified Heart.

199 days in the top 100 (59)2012 release, the third album from Los Angeles fuzz-rockers Silversun Pickups, Neck Of The Woods started with a chance meeting when the band stumbled across Grammy-winning producer Jacknife Lee while recording guest vocals for a Snow Patrol track. But Pickups frontman Brian Aubert is quick to point out that pretty much everything about the album - from producer to studio location right down to its found-photo album art - has been serendipitous. For one example of a happy accident, Aubert was surprised to discover Lee's home studio was smack in the middle of the Topanga Canyon woods, minutes from where the singer grew up. "I hadn't been back in years," he recalls. "I thought it would be fun to walk down my old street. It was like playing with fire a little bit. So much came back that I had forgotten about and it was a really emotional experience. I just realized this place and the feelings I had are still ingrained in me."
